Livin’ Large College Cab

What a great idea!
Recently, I had the chance to hear Weber Shandwick staff talk about a social media program they developed for General Motors. With college students being the target market for Chevy’s new Aveo5, a program called “Livin’ Large College Cab” was launched to get students inside for a test drive.
Lots of Aveo5s were unleashed on several campuses, offering free rides. Students were taped and encouraged to be entertaining. In fact, when aired on You Tube, clips with the most traffic won prizes — both for students and for colleges.
What a great “win-win!” Chevy got students to feel the ride and see the inside of their new Aveo5, while students got the chance to get transported, have fun, and maybe even win a prize.
